Overview
TransferCalc is designed to minimize data collection. The calculators run locally in your browser. There are no user accounts, no calculation database, and no server-side calculation API in the current version.
Information You Provide
When you use a calculator, the file size, speed, and unit values you enter are processed locally in your browser to produce an estimate. These values are not sent to a server for calculation and are not stored in a database. If you navigate away or refresh the page, the inputs are reset.
What We Do Not Collect
- We do not require you to create an account, provide a name, email, phone number, or location permission to use the calculators.
- We do not store individual calculation inputs or results on a server.
- We do not currently run analytics that identifies individual users, and we do not sell personal data.
Cookies and Local Storage
The site may use strictly necessary browser storage (such as sessionStorage) for functional purposes like passing a speed-test result to a calculator, if that feature is enabled. This data stays in your browser and is not transmitted as a tracking profile.
Hosting and Infrastructure
TransferCalc is hosted on Cloudflare infrastructure. Cloudflare may process standard network metadata (such as IP addresses and request logs) as part of operating its CDN, security, and performance services. This processing is governed by Cloudflare's own privacy and data processing policies.
Future Changes
If TransferCalc adds analytics, advertising, or the Internet Speed Test in the future, this policy will be updated to describe what data is collected, for what purpose, and how it is handled. Any future speed-test functionality will be explicitly user-initiated and will include a data-use notice before it transfers test data.
